A wealthy-looking, full bodied cigar that is so good that in 2011, Cigar Aficionado named the Alec Bradley prensado blend their "Cigar of the Year".
These gran toro sticks can sometimes be tough to find in-stock but they rarely disappoint due to a deep and complex blend of flavor.
Six-inches long with a 54 ring gauge, the highlight of this cigar might be the well-aged and fermented 2006 Corojo wrapper that's grown in Honduras' famed Jalapa Valley.
The stick itself is absolutely gorgeous in large part because of the wrapper. In fact, you might find a picture of a Alec Bradley prensado cigar next to the definition of "classy" in the dictionary. Expect an oily wrapper and a triple cap on these sticks --- the type of attention to detail and quality construction you'd expect from a premium cigar.
These cigars are not ideal for beginners who prefer a mild experience. In fact, earth-tones and spices are a bit intense at times and the prensado line-up is full of flavor that veteran cigar smokers will love. That said, the initial flavor profile of these box-pressed gran toro cigars offers a bit of sweet wood and smooth coffee notes that nearly all experience-levels of cigar fans will enjoy.
Alan Rubin, the creator of these Alec Bradley Prensado cigars says their goal was to follow the Cuban tradition in making this cigar down to the smallest details. Because of that attention to detail, it took Alec Bradley three months to figure out just how to box press these cigars without giving the stick a squared-edge --- after fall, who wants to stick a square cigar into their mouth's round hole?
These Alec Bradley gran toro cigars will arrive shipped directly to your front door with 20 cigars in each box.
