Drew Estate’s resident cigar guru, Willy Herrera, knew the stakes were high when he set out to create a wholly new Undercrown cigar, but his unwavering commitment to quality and his years of expertise delivered a cigar that will be the benchmark for all others for years to come. This is the Undercrown Shade.
The Undercrown Shade Corona Doble is a lengthy 7" x 54 stick built around a core of Dominican Criollo '98, Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo filler tobaccos which are set into an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder leaf. Surrounding it all is the star of the show, a deeply textured Connecticut Shade wrapper leaf from Ecuador.
The Undercrown Shade Corona Doble features a bevy of luscious flavors that include vanilla cream, earth, white pepper, caramel, nutmeg and spice. Hints of fruit add some pizzazz while the medium-bodied experience heads towards a sweet and toasty finish that is as gratifying as they come.
Available in boxes of 25 cigars, the Undercrown Shade Corona Doble is a 45 minute or so jaunt that is simply a must for any cigar loving enthusiast. If you love Connecticut-wrapped cigars then this should be at the top of your list. Enjoy the Undercrown Shade Corona with a Café Latte for a tasty start to your day!
