Although Punch Cigars were named for the famous "Punch" in the European Punch & Judy puppet show, these cigars are no joke. Manuel Lopez Fernandez bought the brand in 1984 and aficionados will note Punch cigar boxes still bear his name to this day. Following the Cuban embargo, rights to the Punch tradition were sold sold to a pair of businessmen who continue the Punch process, albeit with Honduran tobacco instead of Cuban tobacco.
